I purchased two additional machines this year primarily because of the auto function. I have been told that the sensitivety has been changed in the 2010 models. These new units will not change from high when set on the auto function. I even put a unit in a 35 sq. ft. room and the auto unit would not change from high even after 24 hours of use. The units I purchased late 2009 do change and I have been very happy with them. Based on my current experience, these new units do not change automatically. Also, the noise level is higher thus the energy used must also be greater.

I recieved the unit just over a week ago. I use the unit in my bedroom and leave it running all day and night. The unit is realtively quiet. I leave it on low at night. Some reviews said that the display is too bright at night. I have to disagree. I agree with the reviews that said that the unit smelled for the first few days. However, the smell went away after a few days. The air quality in my bedroom seems much improve since using the unit. For the price I think this is an excellent buy.

I replaced a much older air purifier which had given me excellent service. So I knew it would be hard to find a new product to please me. From what I can tell, after using my new purifier for several weeks, I will be a happy buyer. I like the controls. I like the infomation I get by looking at the control panel. I believe it is accomplishing what it was advertised to do. The only negative was the bad odor from one of the filters for the first 2 or 3 days. But that filter does not have to be used for the purifier to be effective.

After buying two unnamed air purifiers only to find they were spewing ozone, loud, and didn't even have a HEPA filter (HEPA written all over the box!!), I found this gem!!. I use it for our bedroom to help counter the norcal fires, and all the smoke. Couldn't be happier. Quiet yet powerful, small enough to fit on top of our dresser.A good site for info on this and other purifiers [...]Only complaint would be the brightness of the display, could be an issue in some bedrooms at night.HAPPY HUNTING!

Over All Im Pretty Happy With My Purifier, The Odor From The Filters When They Were New Was A Little Overbearing.But Only Lasted Less Than A Week. But The Purifier Will Defiantly Move Some Air… The Remote Control Is Very Simple To Use, And Is Very Convenient , As The Controls On The Purifier Are A Little Complicated. The Lights On The Control Panel Are Pretty Bright, But To Me Not Bothersome. This Purifier Is Very Attractive And Will Fit Any Décor. Over All I Could Not Find Anything Any Cheaper For The Technology Involved… The OZONE FREE Thing To Me Was A Great Selling Point. I Think It Is Very Important To Have A Air Purifier That Is Ozone Free! But As You Know This Company Does Not Have Some Of The Certifications That Other Companies Do. Decision Yours! The Power Cord Is Pretty Thick And A Little Hard To Bend. It Is Grounded By The Way…. I am using the unit to remove tobacco smoke, pet dander and mold (I live in a deep south swamp).
I have the unit is a very large room. Actually more than twice what it's rated for. It couldn't handle the whole room as I expected and I was so impressed what it was doing I purchased a duplicate unit. I would recommend this approach over a single big unit in this large of a room because I can move the units around for better air distribution and filtration. The unit cleans the air better than I expected and even on HIGH it's very quite.
The only con that comes to mind would be the cost of the filters if I have to change them more than once a year, but I haven't had it long enough to tell. However, most units on market require the same type filter change outs.
