This Blueair 501 HEPASilent Air Purifier with Free Filter effectively purifies air in rooms as large as 580 square feet. Using patented two-stage HEPASilent technology, it captures 99.97% of the tiniest 0.1 micron particles on level one, including allergy-provoking pollen grains, dust mites, mold spores and pet dander particles. It is the system for people living with allergies, asthma, or other respiratory conditions, or for anyone who wants cleaner, more breathable air. The efficient SurroundAir vent system delivers exceptional air exchange (up to 500 cubic feet per minute) without annoying drafts, performance that earned the 501 Best of Class ranking in independent AHAM testing of Clean Air Delivery Rate. This features easy maintenance by simply open the unit's lid, lift out and drop in filters every 6 months. The patented HEPASilent technology makes the 501 HEPASilent Air Purifier with Free Filter incredibly quiet. It comes with one HEPASilent filter kits. The particle filter kit includes three particle filters that remove dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, mold spores and other airborne particles. The particle filter is made of polypropylene, which mechanically filters out airborne particles. To maximize filter effectiveness, particles are negatively charged before reaching the filters. The smokestop filter kit includes three particle filters with enhanced active carbon. This filter kit is recommended for use in rooms where gaseous pollutants such as cigarette and cigar smoke or other VOCs (volatile organic compounds, such as most household paints) are present. Choose from with or without SmokeStop filter.
